This weekend we shot a wedding in Indiana. On our way we stopped in Chicago for a few.
And the creepiest logo for any company ever! I will have nightmares forever.
Welcome to the Rivets & Roses blog. My name is Brandon, I am captain of the ship, leader of the lost boys, and author of this blog.
For those of you who don't know me, photography is my girlfriend. This blog is an opportunity for me to hearten you with the things I have seen with my eyes and captured in time.
Please follow me on twitter and @reply me so that I know who you are :) Cheers!
Believe me when I say that John and Rachel are a perfect pair. You could relate them to any number of great combination’s in human history such as; peanut butter and jelly, oxygen and hydrogen, Han Solo and Princess Leia, whiskey and coke, milk and cookies, etc. They have one of those relationships that other people are jealous of because they have so many cute and nerdy things about them. I want to just mention what an honor it was to shoot this wedding. The groom, John Haynes, is a very very talented photographer. Please check out his work Here! There were people from all over the country here that John had shot and I thought it was so special for him that they came. Without further ado, I present to you the quirky and quaint wedding of John and Rachel Haynes.
Oh the joys of trying to tie a tie…
And this is why I think they are the best wedding party EVER!

Amazing rings, One ring has the moon’s phases waxing, while the other has them waning… beautiful

The greatest unveiling of an artistic work began with the words “Fiat lux”, which in Latin means Let There Be Light. I am in no way comparing this first blog post to such an event but the excitement that God must have had in him during that first burst of light is comparable to the excitement I have in presenting to you Rivets and Roses. It has been a glorious 3 years of wedding photography for me and I am so proud to be a part of this company. I want to welcome everyone I know, everyone I don’t, and everyone I will to be a part of this blog. I look forward to posting on here and sharing with you all the light that I have and will capture.

Bobbing up and down and past.
Tears and seams all turn to one
With every stitch and each spool spun.”
